Project Name:  Spirit Sticks

Materials Needed:  1/4" X 48" wooden dowel rods, hot glue gun, sparkling ribbon in hometown school colors

Approximate Cost and How Many Items Produced: 4 spirit sticks from each dowel rod,  12 spools of ribbon - cost per stick is about 29 cents.

Revenue:  $75.00

Instructions:  Each dowel rod is cut into 4 sections.  Ribbon is cut into 18" strips.  A small group of ribbons is hot glued to the end of the stick to shake at sporting events.  They were sold for $1.00 each, the profit being about 75 cents per stick.  It is best to start selling them at the beginning of the school year.  Even elementary school children can make these.
